The Best (or Worst?) Political Ads for the 2010 Mid-Term Elections

Christine O'DonnellWell some of these politicians have some unbelievable ads this go round. I just wanted to share some of them with everyone before tomorrow’s elections. Really, you just won’t believe some of these ads. These are not in any particular order. Originally I wanted to rank them, but decided it would just be too hard to put them in any sort of order that makes sense. Please note: Not all of these ads are for tomorrow. Some of them were from earlier in the year, but were too good not to share.

This first ad includes just a tiny bit of racial profiling in it. Central Florida Congressional Tea Party candidate Dan Fanelli mentions his Democratic opponent Alan Grayson in this ridiculous ad. He does not however mention his Republican opponent Dan Webster, but that’s O.K. Grayson takes care of that in the second ad below.

Now for Democrat Alan Grayson’s ad that has caused a lot of controversy. Apparently the snippets of Webster were while he was saying the opposite of a lot of the claims in the ad. Many say this ad might be enough to allow Webster to unseat the incumbent Grayson.

Republican Jim Bender is running for the Senate in New Hampshire with this ad that includes what could be the creepiest Uncle Sam ever!

Speaking of CREEPY. This next ad is for the job of Coroner in New Orleans. Dr. Mekenna is playing off allegations that Dr. Frank Minyard had been selling bits of bone and corneal tissue for profit.

This next one is from a rather well-known battle in California. The ad is from Carly Fiorina, former HP CEO. It makes out her opponent Barbara Boxer as being in office too long and letting it all go to her head which blows up more and more until…well I will let you watch to see.

The next video is actually from Canada, but I HAD to share it. It is against the re-election of Winnipeg Mayor Sam Katz. What an unfortunate thing to be caught on a camera! His career may never be the same.

“The Friends of John McCain” got together to pay for this next ad which includes Dracula, Mars Attacks!, and Horse Marriage! Yes, that’s right Horse Marriage!

Here is an ad attacking Alabama gubernatorial candidate Bradley Byrne for wanting to teach evolution in schools, and for not believing EVERYTHING in the Bible is true.

How does a woman running for Congress in Arizona make sure she has a “shot” at winning? Well she shoots off a pistol, an AR-57 Assault Rifle, and a Thompson Submachine Gun in a single 43 second ad! The only way this ad could make her chances better was if she was shooting at some U.S. Citizens who didn’t have “their papers” on them to show.

Rick Barber for U.S. Congress would like to start his own little Revolution against the Government, particularly the I.R.S.

Dale Peterson gives a rip about Alabama!

Ahh, wait Alabama didn’t give enough of a rip about Dale Peterson! However, John McMillan apparently gives a rip about Alabama too. Whatever you do, don’t go near the signs!!!

Here’s an ad against Meg Whitman for California Governor.

Is Tom Campbell really a wolf in demonic sheep’s clothing? Carly Fiorina thinks so.

That’s all for now. Just imagine if they took all that money and poured it into charities, or the state economies, perhaps education?
