The trends list all day have been loaded with stuff about the BCS National Title game, Atlanta Falcons coach Brian Van Gorder becoming the head coach of Auburn, and the odd coincidence of Tim Tebow finishing with 316 passing yards in yesterdays Wild Card game against the Steelers.
None of that really interests me. I think the BCS system is flawed in so many ways that the National Title doesn’t hold a whole lot of weight like it used to. This year Oklahoma State should have been facing someone in the title game. Although now seeing Alabama shutting out LSU it is hard to say that OSU should have replaced LSU in the game. It does however open the discussion for OSU to have a shared National Title. But enough about that. It was a low scoring, not so good game.
As for Tebow finishing with 316 yards in the Broncos win over the Steelers in overtime…even though it is a nice coincidence that he finished with the same number as his favorite bible verse, John 3:16…it doesn’t really matter. What he and his team need to concentrate on is how to do everything differently when they meet New England this coming week so they don’t end with the same result they met last time they played a few weeks ago.
Now onto what I do want to share with everyone. A couple of videos that I saw today.
The first video is of a professional bowler in a tournament in Las Vegas. He was a rookie bowler and apparently the nerves just got the best of him. I wonder how this few seconds in time will affect the rest of his pro bowling career.
The other video I want to is truly remarkable. An Australian woman was on vacation in Africa. She decided to go bungee jumping over the crocodile infested waters of the Zambezi River. Unfortunately her bungee cord snapped! She was then swept down river (the river full of crocodiles!). She came out of it with just a bunch of bruises. No major injuries, no instant death, no mid-day snack for a crocodile. She is one very lucky woman!
